Time to Move On

I began this blog in July 2015 when I created a little imaginary village, gave myself and everyone, including all our animals, new names, mixed locations around and about, while still writing about life around here.

It has been fun sharing those 500 or so posts with you, making new friends, as well as getting back in touch with the bloggy friends I have known since the long ago days of Pear Tree Log.

The winds of change are blowing again and I feel the need to abandon this blog, reinvent myself and get going again, under a new name and probably in a new setting.

Until we meet again - very best  wishes and a huge thank you to everyone who has ever taken the time to read and/or comment.

Elaine

  1. Sad to see a blog ending, but far better than stopping in mid-air.
We must keep in touch..am I right in thinking that you have bought a bowl from me..so I must have your address to keep in touch...if you remind me with a comment on my blog I won't publish it.....perhaps postcards may be in order in the future, to keep the postie's going?!

    1. Two very beautiful berry bowls, which I still enjoy using, though not always for berries - so many things look wonderful in them. Postcards it is, will drop you a comment later.

  5. Sorry you are leaving this blog - I enjoyed the read - but like finishing a book we all have to move on to a new story sometime. I hope you don't delete though as I often spend time reading the earlier parts I missed. Please, please put a note on here to say where you are when you restart - or leave me a comment on mine when you are up and running. All the best x

    1. Thank you! No plans to delete for a while yet. I find it a handy reference for looking back at past events and fixing them in time. The new blog will be a while in the 'planning' stage, but I will let you know.x

  10. I can’t remember whether we ever did speak via email? Mine is on my blog, I really don’t want to lose touch, I feel you are a trusted friend and will miss you. I love the measured way in which you write and aspire to do the same... failing miserably obv! Be happy dear girl and come back thoroughly refreshed and raring to go.

    1. I think we may well have - I will have a rummage in my address file, see if there is an email address. Schools went back today so my life will be a little less hectic soon - just the breakfast and teatime shift! I will be in touch.
As to the new blog - ideas are starting to dance around my head - perhaps I should see someone for that!

  11. I hate to hear that your blog is ending. It seems that this happens more and more frequently with other blogs. I enjoy them so much more than the short little bits and pieces that you get with facebook and instagram. You really, over time, get to know the person writing them and that's interesting.

    1. Hello Billy, - sorry, only just found your comment. I enjoy writing blog posts, so I have plans to start afresh, when time permits. I plan to feature more of the beautiful country churches around here, plus more of the same, just trying to find a new angle that I feel comfortable with. 'Back' soon!
