I can think of no better way to describe the way I feel today. The clips go on a bit, but they capture my lightness of spirit.
I still don't want anyone near my left-hand side, but a high tide mark has been left there, the pain has begun to recede! I feel in control of it again, the rawness has passed.
I am so sorry that I was unable to answer all your lovely comments, but I do thank you for each and every one of them.

Glad to read you are on the mend.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Marcia! The sun is shining so I am heading out to give Toby a good long walk, first one in a while.
DeleteThank goodness your are feeling better and less painful.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, the pain is containable - and I feel so much better! I have had several broken bones over the years, but none have hurt as much as this one - old age making me less able to cope, perhaps? Anyway, I feel as though I am on the mend and I am so thankful!
DeleteSo glad you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteBut.... A bone was broken...? Rib perhaps? Even bruised ribs, are horrible pain. -sigh-sigh-sigh-
I know she did not intend to hurt you. But... Your pain, did not _have_ to have happened. I do hope, that she has been told, to never "come-tearing" into any room/home, again.
Be well...
Thank you, Nanci!
DeleteBroken rib :( "Worse things happen at sea", as my father would have said.
Accidents happen!
So pleased you're on the mend. Spring's on the way !!
ReplyDeleteThanks Molly! My walk was chilly, breezy, and refreshing. The sun shone and my heart sang with pleasure at being able to walk the fields again.
DeleteGlad to hear you are on the mend. I hope you enjoyed your walk.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was fresh, wild, and peaceful - just what I needed.
DeleteGood to hear from you and that you are feeling better. Not a good start to the year but hopefully your only misfortune for 2020. x
ReplyDeleteThank you. It could have been worse! Onward into the new year. I hope you have a better 2020, too.x
DeleteOh my, took a small break (no pun intended!!) from the computer and come back to this 😧 Glad to read your on the mend and up and about again. Your poor little neighbor, how upset she must have been. Wishing you pain free deep breathes and long walks in the fresh air without any trouble.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Sheri
Thanks, Sheri. The walk was very restorative; I am at my happiest when I get out into the countryside around here. Breathing, coughing, sneezing are less painful now, definitely on the mend!
DeleteSo happy you're on the mend, and enjoyed every minute of your "mash".
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joanne. I watched a new version of A Christmas Carol over Christmas, it was excellent, but those clips from 10 old films have reminded me of some I had forgotten.
DeleteYou to see you back.
ReplyDeleteHow come the old bro gets such a large photo on your blog... only asking?

I rarely look at my blog, Lettice, but I see what you mean.
DeleteIt's not favouritism, honest!!
I think it is simply down to either his ego, or the way his blog is set up, probably the latter!
This is what happens when you fire off comments without proof reading! Should have had Good in front of it! Anyway it is fantastic to have you back... now about this humongous photo!?!
ReplyDeleteLX
Glad you are feeling a little better, long may that last.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lorraine. The wind is howling around the cottage right now, and I certainly wouldn't risk a walk through Owl Wood, the wild winds always take me back to the years I spent on the islands. I bet you have had some really wild winds to deal with lately. Hope all is well.
