This is what I planned to do today.
But this is what we did instead...
Cleared the vegetable garden pathways and turned over the beds.
It was chilly and damp, as well as hard work.

Spring seems to have gone back into hiding.

I can't get up any enthusiasm for gardening while it's still so chilly. Your garden looks nice and tidy and right ready to make a start.
ReplyDeleteLeft to my own devices I wouldn't have gardened either, Sue. Books were calling me.
DeleteThe weather is terrible here too.I admire your enthusiasm for working in your garden when it is so cold!
ReplyDeleteTake care!
Hello Cat Lover, Welcome. They made me do it, the chilly weather makes me lazy! Somehow I think our weather is probably mild compared to yours. I'll pop over for a visit later.
DeleteOh. dear. I hope it warms up quickly on that side of the Atlantic. We catch a plane tomorrow afternoon to Frankfort and then a quick one to Amsterdam to start our river cruise on the Rhine.
ReplyDeleteMarcia, Have a wonderful holiday. Wear plenty of layers and you will be fine for whatever the weather throws at you. I'm looking forward to seeing your photographs.
DeleteChuckle....... Well, after all that work, today can be Cake Day!!!

That picture is so funny...and what I would love to do every day! Your garden beds are pretty, and in such a pretty place. We got more snow last night!! Here in NC!!
ReplyDeleteWow...you are way ahead of us. We are still waiting on the snow to leave. We lost a lot today with the sun but we have only days to lose the rest before Peter Rabbit arrives in our wood-lot. Come on, sun. I have to add tea to your list of thank goodnesses, :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice garden but I love those primroses
ReplyDeleteHow I wish we could prepare the social but alas we still have six feet of snow .. but it slowly melting...I do enjoy seeing your progression though and I’m encouraged that Spring is just around the corner...Have a BLESSED EASTER
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone, I really appreciate your comments. Spring is still teasing us, drenching, cold rain all night and more expected over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the lack of personal responses, my energy levels are pretty low but normal service will be resumed as soon as possible. Have a lovely Easter and be sure to eat plenty of chocolate eggs tomorrow.
