Birthday wishes to:
This lovely woman, who is my older son's wife.
Happy Birthday, I***!
💖
This lovely woman is my younger son's wife.
Happy Birthday, Ming Ming!

I love this photograph, although I think she would be a bit grumpy that I chose to show it - we had just come home from the beach so her hair had gone into tight curls. |
I never forget their birthdays
because it is engraved in my heart,
today would also have been my Mother's 90th birthday.
I miss you, Mum.

I wonder what the odds were that both my DiL should share the same birthday as my mother.
No doubt there is some mathematical formula to work it out!
A very special day for your family. No doubt your Mother would have been delighted at the co-incidence!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I think she would have been 'tickled pink'!
DeleteWhat a happy co-incidence.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly makes it easy to remember, Sue!
DeleteMany many happy returns. I remember your other posts about her. The best of d in laws.
ReplyDeleteThose birth dates are not a coincidence, though not sure of my reasoning! So many of dates coincide in our family. It's amazing.
She was destined for your family, to bring you happiness!
Thanks, Linda. I think they both had a good time. I know that my mother would have loved them, especially with the shared birthdays!
DeleteWow, aren’t they just! What superb photographs of them all and to share the same birthday... incredible.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the story of the picture of your beautiful Mum, was she reading the paper, a book and who took the photo and why?
I still miss my lovely Mum, who died in 1971 age 48. Remember Elaine, we shared stories about our mothers many moons ago. Audrey my adopted ‘Mum’ was 94 yesterday.

She was reading a paper - supposedly - in fact she was cross with my father, he was taking the photograph and wanted her to look at the camera! The photograph dates from around 1963, Hong Kong days.
DeleteShocking how young your mum was, Linda. You were both cheated of so much. Belated birthday greetings to Audrey!
What a coincidence - photos of three lovely ladies.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan. They are indeed.
DeleteAn amazing coincidence. Three beautiful ladies...belated birthday wishes to your Dil's.
ReplyDeleteThank you, MM! They had a lovely day.
DeleteThe first coincidence is that the 2 daughters in law share a birthday! And then its extra special that the day is is shared with your mom's. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteOne of those funny coincidences, but I know that my mother would have been really happy to share the day with them, Marcia.
DeleteI wonder what were the odds you would love your beautiful daughters in law as dearly as your mother!
ReplyDeleteThey make it easy for me to love them, Joanne! Lovely girls.
DeleteHow delightful, that these 3 lovely women in your life, share the same Birthday. :-)
ReplyDeleteI wonder how odds-makers would handle that? ,-)))
Are there odds-makers? I'm not familiar with gambling terms. ,-)
Goodness knows, Luna, quite high I would imagine. She would have been thrilled to have a fellow red head in the family and of course she would have adored welcoming MM and feeling that connection through our years in Hong Kong.
DeleteThe odds of that happening must be huge. My husband shared his birthday with my maternal grandma; she was always quite pleased about that.
ReplyDeleteYour daughters in law are very lucky to have a mother-in-law who cares about them. I am envious.
I'm sorry, it sounds like you haven't been quite so lucky, Scarlet. That is your MiL's loss, her son married a gem.xxx
DeleteAll Vergo's like me and mine was a few days ago as well and my Sons yesterday
ReplyDeleteBelated birthday greetings to you and your son, Bill! I hope you had a good one.
