Owl Wood and Gardens
The trees in the background are one corner of Owl Wood, the foreground is our vegetable garden, everything made to look rather more attractive by the snow.
How many sheds does one man need? I can see three sheds, one small barn, plus the poly tunnel, which is also half full of his 'stuff'!
Oh, and let's not forget this one, just because it is tucked away in the corner...
Down by the herb garden, the rosemary is in flower.
There was a thin coating of ice on the pond.
Final one for today,
this photograph which was taken a couple of weeks before our wedding.
Forty-two years ago today.
Happy Anniversary to my love.

Congratulations on the 42 years. A wonderful photography of you both.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda.
DeleteWe just have "snow with ambition" here - but the only place a few flakes have stayed is on top of the two frozen ponds. Your garden looks lovely - some nice plantings and I have poly-tunnel envy!
ReplyDeleteLovely wedding photo - well done on reaching 42 years.
We got up this morning to find that we have about six inches of snow, with much deeper drifts so yesterdays snowfall was merely an amuse bouche. It could reach you yet.
DeleteThank you. The weather was very different 42 years ago, luckily!
Happy anniversary we were 35 years a month ago and my hair looked like your hubbies. That is one beautiful garden to have, you make me very envious
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bill! The magical power of snow.
DeleteHappy Anniversary
ReplyDelete6 inches here in Suffolk too and still falling
Thanks, Sue. I hope you don't get too much more.
DeleteHappy Anniversary, Elaine! That's a lovely photo of you and your then-fiancé! You are catching us up, 54 years this year.
ReplyDeleteThose pix of snow are lovely!
Margaret P
Thank you, Margaret. It all looks very beautiful, but the wind is piercing, definitely a day for the fireside.
DeleteHappy Anniversary to you, beautiful couple!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Luna. The day that photograph was taken we had gone out with my husband's older brother and his two children. We were high up on a very windy hill, watching our nephew an niece fly their kites...funny to think how old those two young ones are now. Time whizzes by.
DeleteTo a man, sheds are like Duck Tape. They can never have too many, or too much. :-)))
ReplyDeleteAnd what a wonderful poly tunnel! Even if half of it, is for stuff, and not for growing.
Ahhhhh yes, the pretty, pretty snow fall.
Duck Tape probably goes by another name in your country, but I'm sure, every country has its own version. :-)
I think you are right! It is Duck Tape, much more fun than boring old duct tape... and yes, he uses an awful lot of that too!!
DeleteLOL... I called it "Duck" tape. And it is "Duct" tape. Oh well...
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Snow scene looks lovely. We have too little snow here this winter. Now that we don't have to worry about shoveling it, we wouldn't mind having more to admire. Climate change at work with our warming winters.
ReplyDeleteWe are celebrating our 44th on board a river cruise on the Rhine at the end of March.
Thanks, Marcia. A river cruise sounds a wonderful way to celebrate - lots of photo opportunities and interesting history just waiting for you. My grandchildren have been building snowmen and having snowball fights, they are happy! The bit I dread is when the slush freezes and the pathways are icy and slippery.
